About Me

I was raised in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina, in the small community of Buladean. I grew up learning how to grow tobacco, shoot skeet, saddle horses on my own and absolutely ride the wheels off a four-wheeler. Looking back it is funny that I grew up with so many different animals because I am scared of every dog, cat, hamster the list goes on and on. Usually my fear of dogs brings a lot of laughter to a session when my clients bring their family pets (don't judge me if end up in a fetal position during your session if your dog tries to play with me haha).

I am happily married to my best friend and high school sweetheart. We have THREE BOYS, yes three. I just knew the third one was going to be a girl. When the nurse told me my baby was a third boy my immediate response was "No it is not. Nope. No it isn't." Yes yes of course I love him just the same (I always feel like I have to say that when I tell this story) but you have to understand my years of wrestling and mud and boogers and talking about poop just got extended for at least another 5 years (insert sigh and eye roll).

I have been in business for over 11 years now. I started out with nature and moved quickly to people. I love seeing raw emotions coming through on my images. With that being said we will have loads of fun during your session! I will prompt you to do things that are so strange and you will think I'm crazy, but I can promise you we will have a blast together! Thanks so much for checking out my work.
